Who are we?
Jeff Apter is a medical professional specializing in Neuroscience research to discover new treatments for Depression and Alzheimers He grew up in Johannesburg South Africa in a home filled with South African art of both white and black South African art and his mother had an amazing eye for art
Since 2019 he has partnered with the beautiful historic Temple Emanu-el in Miami Beach to extensively renovate the Lehrman Family gallery to locate the Apter Art gallery an artistic art display center and since then has hosted several art events there to display art from South Africa Mexico,Russia and Ukraine .The adjacent chapel at Temple Emmanuel was also recently renovated and we hope to make the Temple a major center for the arts in Miami Beach
His vast collection of African art includes notable paintings by Asanda Kupa,Happy Dhlame,Laurel Holmes ,John Vusi Mfupi and the brilliant photographs of Andile Komanisi
We are working on this years presentations of art during Art Basel Miami 2024
